I was thinking of her since afternoon, I called up my friend and call it magical, it was she who attended the call. I was so delighted to hear her voice after months.
'It seems you have forgotten me,' I said with a smile.
'I saw your name displayed and which is why I picked up the call, maam.'
That was indeed a cute, precise and diplomatic answer. I had to infer from it, that's all.
What followed was a quick two minutes talk, where she covered all the key highlights, in fact, short two line stories from her daily life. She had a special news to share, that she had joined dance classes, to which instantly, we agreed upon a deal that she would show and teach me the steps whenever we met next. ( We always keep our promise deals)
Interesting was the mention of life being 'boring' from my merely 6 year old friend. The reason being quite logical explained from her perspective. I did try to change the thought yet she never wavered from her statement. Surprisingly, boring, otherwise a negative word, never seemed this hilarious and sweet as she pronounced with so much innocence. I wonder if I ever knew what that meant when I was her age. When she handed over the phone to her mom, since all updates were complete from her side, my friend and me laughed. I said I could imagine how well she was managing the kids while they were 'joyfully boring around' all day. She agreed.
I was truly happy connecting with the little angelic soul. Powerful positive thoughts or wishes manifest as magical connects, sometimes instantly, while we are thinking of someone special and dear to us.
Well boring will definitely bring a smile whenever I hear it from anyone belonging to our so called mature age group.
