Celebrating International Women's Day: The Lightworkers of Love and Compassion !

She left her home and family to a far away land that was not safe. Her upbringing was royal and she went to the best schools where the elite went. The reason for choosing this journey was termed insane by her family who loved her dearly. Her friends were skeptical yet she chose to go. They need to be heard and I shall be their medium.
Months passed and she was totally dedicated to her humanitarian deed. Perhaps she was paid minimal amount for her highly risky job but she was a minimalist and loved to connect with people in dire need and offer help through words and help them reach millions through her camera lens. The small children who were once feeling insecure and almost wandering on the streets deprived of basic food felt she was their savior. She helped them get food and shelter in the refugee camp. In her spare time, she read out inspiring stories, taught them how to read and write. She was rewarded with their innocent smiles and the people also liked her as she was truly compassionate. They got courage to voice their opinion and fight for their right to freedom. The War zone was not a laden with flowers but strewn with dead bodies and dilapidated buildings. She slept on a wooden cot with no bedding but just a pink blanket that she had brought from home and was dear to her.  She gave the blanket to a child later as he was shivering with fever. She ate the same food that was given to other refugees. She was content that she was serving the people in the best possible way.

The luxurious life that she abandoned was only a memory now. She was near to seeing the people breathing the fresh air of freedom and was all set to return back home. It was a sunny day and the gusty air was not really a pleasant omen. She was going to a nearby site to check on the children when suddenly she heard a rattle and a thud. There was a shrill sound that reverberated in her gentile ear and she could only see darkness. She could hear people running hither and thither, the ambulance alarm that from a distance until she became insensitive to these sounds or her own breath.  The next day, her name came in the newspaper on the front page. A child is seen holding her blanket and a broken slate near her. – God Loves You Always! The people in that region still recall her as a brave soul who had the guts to face the guns with her guts. She taught them faith, self-respect, courage and left behind memories in their heart. She had captured true heartbreaking emotions that shook the whole world and called for peace. She was a warrior of light and an angel of love for those shattered by the bombings and cross-firing.

She was just like any other woman. She chose humanity to the perfect lifestyle essayed to her from her childhood. She had her imperfections. She believed in her heart. A woman sacrificed her luxuries to help children and people who were struggling for survival during war. She was a daughter, a lover, a sister, a friend and above all an altruistic through her deeds. Period.

Why is it that it takes 365 days in a year to wish ‘Happy International Women’s Day’? In the world of equality, women have been proving themselves each day as a mother, as a sister, as a wife or as a professional relentlessly.   She expects no praise or materialistic gifting certificates for her roles today. She truly believes in unconditional love and self- respect.  She believes that every human whether it is a boy or a girl, a man or a woman, deserves to be treated with humility and compassion.

In the end, only 3 things matter – how much you loved, how gently you lived and how gracefully you let go things not meant for you for a bigger purpose in life.

5 Magical Ways to Seek Our Happiness

With a lot of positive quotes and lessons, a lot of gratitude and a lot more prayers, at times things do not seem to happen the way we desire. This is the case of many people who experience a similar pattern of life every year. When we count on others for our happiness and stake almost everything to be with them in a hope that things would change for the better at least this time, God has some other plans.

It is easy to put it on God but then the emotional ups and downs are all because of the choices we make. Agreed that all we want is Love, Peace and togetherness but most of the people get sheer a cup full of loneliness and despair. The world is ruled by money and relationships - parents, siblings or even marriage- take a backstage when the money provider job dominates. The ego builds in and ‘I’ takes away the time spent with loved ones. Communications become text messages, so much that we may not feel the need to call and talk . Or the word busy takes on to postpone talks.

In recent times, I have seen a couple of humans having their own battles. Every human has their own battle and dream. When these are aligned in a way to take family and job alongside, life is bliss and problems seem a breeze. Decades back where human values and love was considered supreme and helped people heal quickly from any low times, nowadays technology has become a dominant reason for lack of human interaction, communication and sharing fearing the people’s reaction. Human feelings is becoming zero and addiction to alcohol, video games, hectic work life or social media trolling or stalking are the ways to keep minds engaged.  Money is important, so is love and care. Move on to seek inner peace and happiness. Attract the life that is filled with happiness and success.

It is never too late to change and focus on OUR INNER happiness!

Spend quality time with your dear ones
Family and close friends always stay by your good and bad times. At times when certain incidents occur to pull us down, it is best to be in the company of people who uplift you. His will help us in taking better decisions. While we choose to let go the pain and move on, the ways to ultimate happiness will open up. After all there is light after the end of even the longest tunnel.

Confidence runs in you
Confidence is something that we base upon having sufficient money inflow and emotional dependency. This is only an evolution of fear. When we have the power to smile and sail in the midst of a high tide with an intention to win no matter what befalls, that is confidence. Any job or relationship is not a slave to overshadow this quality. When we Count on our blessings each day, it boosts our confidence level.

Stay Happy and Positive
Any job or relationship stress should not decide our happiness. It is we who decide our happiness and not people. Once we reach that level, we help to spread the aura of cheerfulness and love to all others. It is as simple as, when we love being happy in our own company, so will we give the best to our dear ones. Positive thoughts and love is essential in daily lives to attract good professional takeaways, success and healthy relationships.

Stay high on Self-Respect
We have to guard our self respect always. This is very important as a human and this is treasured a quality. It is good to be compassionate and helpful to others, but not at the cost of your own pride. This should not be lost for Ego as certain new age immature employers depict. This should also be kept intact in any relationship to help grow and become better individuals.

Practice Gratitude and Learn Each Day
Every day spent in gratitude multiplies the blessings in our lives and helps us emerge as a good human. Being thankful for the smallest thing that we possess is a biggest ritual we offer to the Divine. This helps us professionally and also personally. It strengthens our positive mind in all the walks of life. Learning is also part of nourishing the mind with knowledge. Every day a small learning becomes a big win.

It is high time that we say no to the negative people or incidents who pull down our confidence and live happily for us. I AM HAPPY. Repeat. Feels good.
