Reliving Dreams. Reconnecting with Stars
Blessed with the best parents, she grew up in the canopy of unconditional love and affection.
Where virtues of respect, trust, compassion and helping
others was an innate habit.
The child who was everyone’s favourite for her gentle smile and her cherubic gestures.
Her eyes had a thousand wishes as such, and she always believed
in her dreams.
She would share the wishlist silently with friends at night,
as they would assemble forming a galaxy twinkling up in the sky.
She would write small notes in her secret diary and hide it
deep under the pile of books somewhere.
She loved admiring the roses and would like the smell of the
petals, yet pluck none from her garden.
She adored the bulbul bird’s nest in the creeper and
would happily return from school to watch them from a distance.
She had her cute friendship with her Godfather like uncle,
who was her genie fulfilling even her smallest of wishes.
She was the branch of a belief system where even though there was a particular religious belief, the doors of the mind was open to the one world one religion concept.
She was fortunate to celebrate every festival, feel the
essence of kindness and care in every human irrespective of their class or
creed.
All knew that her impromptu demands for the little
sweet-sour toffees or the colourful balloons had to be satisfied without any
delay.
Her faith in goodness and righteousness was seen in her
voice and also her sensitivity.
She would love watching the rain in her backyard and rejoice
holding the hailstones in her small palm.
She saw the beautiful world around her that was perfect with
the noticeable imperfections that could be taken best care with mindful
decisions.
While she follow her heart always and walked her path in
life, she travelled to many places, met people of different races.
She then got introduced to the real world that was reverse
of what all she had learned or imbibed, yet she chose to hold on to her values.
The journey of life seemed to alter her path of dreams and
somewhere she lost her way in the tunnel like maze.
That is when, in the darkness, as if out of nowhere, she
could see the light beaming from the sky, as if her long lost friends were
right there to help her.
She followed the path shown by her stars and then as if a
magical path appeared, she moved on to cherish her dreams with her confident
divine smile.

Journey of Life
The journey of life is a circle of experiences that takes us
to different places,
Different places connect us to people from different regions
and cultures.
The cultures are unique and the belief systems rooted in
their lifestyle,
A lifestyle guided by the rules of the society and the demands
of the family customs.
Family customs that by no way can be questioned or bend by
free will,
Free will that is regarded as a taboo in the highly
religiously inflicted society.
A society that is driven by the thoughts of the influential
people,
People who have the money and the power to make any amends
as per convenience.
Convenience is based on the circumstances and the interests
of the stakeholders,
Stakeholders if were to use the power entrusted, with
honesty and humanity.
Humanity will definitely bring together every individual as citizens
of one world,
A world that will thrive on the virtues of peace, love,
compassion and well-being.
Well-being of others as much as one would wish for
themselves as a purpose of life,
A life that is focused on finding our own happiness and also
helping others find their smiles.
Coz true smiles, have the power to bless the lives of
millions in their journey of life.

My Mesmerizing Morning Date
![]() |
I woke up to experience a magical surprise in the wee hours this morning,
When that ray of my familiar friend touched my eyes and was so glistening.
Like a child I rubbed my eyes, drew the curtain a little further and opened the window for a better view,
To watch my dear friend who seemed to wait patiently just to say ‘Good Morning to you’!
The presence that hour for sure was unusual, yet it brightened the blue sky at dawn beautifully
As we were habituated to greet and smile when it is dark sky at dusk gracefully.
The breeze was cool and the leaves of the branches of the were swaying gently,
The chirping of the birds and the sweet smelling flowers made the view celestial absolutely.
I smiled and promptly realized it was sliding away to make way for the rays of the Sun,
I knew that this was the right moment, if gone I would get none.
I hastily said my gratitude prayer, made my way straight to the hall,
It was still dark inside, I did not waste time in switching on the light at all.
Broke the morning rule, first thing grabbed the mobile, and came back in no time,
I was so much allured by the charm, yet I managed to treasure the memory just in time.
Nature is definitely showing us miracles, these days, just that we ought to be ready to perceive,
I feel happy to share this pleasant moment, ' I woke up to greet my Morning Moon Date and receive '.

The Eye's Candy
The man asked which colour that she preferred and she pointed her finger at the pink –white combination, which meant she liked the strawberry flavour. She gave the coins and indoors. She went to the kitchen to show her mother, her most prized possession at that moment. Her mother smiled and also told her to have it after she was done with her lunch. She was not quite ready to listen but then she knew that if she disobeyed, then the chances of getting the candy as and when she desired, would be negligible. She kept the candy safely on her study table and then went to have her lunch. Now the most common characteristic of children as such is that they tend to forget certain things, which would have meant a lot, for a particular moment, when there is a bigger catch and in her case was television. It was her favourite ‘Tom and Jerry’ cartoon and so she was definite to forget the entire world. As the day was drawing to an end, the 8 year old came exhausted after her enthusiastic play time with her friends. She then washed her hands and feet, chanted the evening prayers quickly, and then as a flash of thought, she recalled about her candy. She went to the room as she knew where exactly she had kept her dear candy. Oh God! It was not there. She searched beneath her books, inside her school bag, under the table and as if it had vanished all of a sudden. Her tears were right at the brink of her eye, but she controlled it, wondering where to find it.
She went to the backyard, just next to the kitchen and sat on the steps, gazing at the sky. She always marvelled the moon. Perhaps, there was a divine connection. During her cherubic years, her mother would always show her the Moon in the sky, tell her happy fables and put her to sleep. She was trying to recall where she could have kept it, with eyes scanning the sky horizontally. Her mother called her for dinner and she went with a gloomy face. Her dad asked her about her day and she was answering in a disinterested manner and did not utter a word about the candy. Her mom, intervened with a friendly gesture, tapped on her head, and told about the candyman. Her love for those specific candy was known to all and when her dad asked her how it tasted, her mom was about to say something, when the shift was on the tears rolling down the little ones eyes. Her parents were bewildered and wanted to know of the sudden trigger that made their child cry. They were patient and when she calmed moderately, she narrated the entire story, gasping for breath in the middle. Her mother was patting her back to calm her and then she loosened her arms and then disappeared from the room. Her dad, meanwhile, said that he would get her another one, the next day. The subdued cry was as if instigated, she sobbed and said she knew that the candyman came only once a week with those special variety. He told her to drink water and finish her food. She was eating slowly, still a tear or two trickling down, denoting gradual closure.
Her mom then came in and told her , if she was done with her dinner and crying, to follow her to the
kitchen. The candy was right next to the spice box and as per her instructions
that she gave her mom (Mom, can you keep the candy in the kitchen as I fear the ants
might eat it, I am going out to play). In the excitement of joining her friends, she
completely forgot this bit of the conversation, during her hunt later in the evening. She gave a naughty grin and hugged
her mom. She then got totally involved in her precious candy treat and smiled, up at her Moon.
